New Restrictions and the Housing Market Jan 2021

Following the govt announcement at 2pm today (Monday 4th January) our offices will remain closed to the public with staff working remotely.

With regards to what is allowed we note that the guidance permits, Section 18 (k) of The Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Restrictions and Requirements) (Local Levels (Scotland) Amendment (No. 10) Regulations 2021 allow as “reasonable excuse” – move home or undertake activities in connection with the maintenance, purchase, sale, letting, or rental of residential property that the person owns or is otherwise
responsible for,

We suspect that this will allow for works to take place at a property and for people in urgent need to move (as per March – June Lockdown) however once we have more detail on what is and isn’t allowable we will update all clients and customers.
